5th EPSO CONFERENCE - Support grants
18-22 April 2010, Finland
Application procedure
For this conference, students from any European country and scientists (junior & senior) from the 12 new EU Member States and Eastern European countries (Albania, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine) can apply for an EPSO Conference Support Grant. The number of grants will be distributed equally between the two groups. The EPSO Conference Support Grant covers five nights accommodation in triple rooms for students and double rooms for scientists (the accommodation will be directly booked and paid by EPSO) and catering as mentioned in the programme. The conference registration fee will be waived. Recipients of a support grant will have to pay their own travel.
Students and scientists receiving an EPSO Conference Support Grant are required to submit a poster abstract.
Deadline for application is
extended until 6th December 2009.
The applications will be evaluated by the organising committee and you will be notified before the early registration deadline (15 December 2009) if you will receive a support grant or not.
Steps to apply for a support grant
Step 1: Please, contact the EPSO office at Nadia.Khawaja<x>
epsomail.org, stating you wish to apply for a support grant
Step 2: The EPSO office will send you the suppport grant application form
Step 3: Complete the application form and send it back to the EPSO office. Submit your (poster) abstract via the online registration tool for abstract submission (http://www.epsoweb.eu/catalog/conf2010/Abstract_submission.htm)
Step 4: The EPSO office will notify you before 15 December 2009 if you will receive a support grant or not
Registration of accompanying persons
- Please note that accompanying persons need to be registered separately.
- Accompanying persons are not allowed to participate in the conference, but are allowed to attend all coffee breaks, lunches, dinners, the welcome reception, the conference dinner and the excursion.
- The conference venue is located at a quite remote place. If one wishes to have lunch or dinner in a restaurant other then the conference venue restaurant, one needs to travel by car or taxi for 40 min.
