Excursions
On the third day, you will have the opportunity to discover the landscapes by joining one of the following excursions:
Excursion to a Lapp camp (45 EUR)
Pick-up for the Lapp camp excursion at 11:00 at the main entrance of the conference venue; back at the conference venue at 17:00.
An outdoor typical Lappish lunch will be served during the excursion (included in the fee).
EPSO organises a Lapp Camp for its conference participants where people can experience short snowmobile rides, short husky and/or reindeer sleigh rides and other winter activities like kick sledges, skiing, snowshoes, toboganning and Lapp lasso "suopunki" throwing. All activities are accessible to any age. You will be guided by experienced English-speaking Lapland Safari guides.
Excursion to a reindeer farm (45 EUR)
Pick-up for the reindeer farm excursion at 13:00, at the main entrance of the conference venue; back at the conference venue at 17:00. Lunch will be served at the conference venue at 12:00 (included in the fee).
A coach will take you to the village of Torassieppi that has been recognised as a village landscape of national heritage. In Torassieppi, there is a reindeer farm that has been kept by the same family since the early 19th century. For over a hundred years the farm got its income from reindeer herding and working as a guest house for travellers. Today, the Lapinkartano Manor lives in a new era showing tourists the ways of past times. During your visit here you will hear more about the past and present of the farm and reindeer herding, watch the “A year of a reindeer” slide show and take a short ride in a reindeer sleigh (600m). Coffee/tea with sweet bread is served during the visit.
Should you wish not to participate to any excursion, you will have the opportunity to have lunch at the conference venue (15 EUR) and free time during the afternoon.
Activities (available continuously at the conference venue)
A wide range of networking opportunities can be enjoyed directly from the conference centre such as snowboarding, alpine and cross-country skiing, snow walking and sledging. On the registration form, you will be asked if you wish to rent material for skiing or snowboarding. Only participants who made a reservation via the registration form will be able to rent material.

Fee ski-lift: 1 day 26€; 2 days 45€; 3 days 61€; 4 days 74€.
KeyCard (= tickets will be loaded to the card) + 6€ has to be bought. If the card is returned, the hotel will reimburse 3€. If the client has a KeyCard of his own our ticket can be loaded to it (SkiData ticket system in use).
Ski rental (skis + boots + sticks for cross country or down hill skiing): 1 day 20€; 2 days 35€; 3 days 47€; 4 days 57€
Snow board rental: (snowboard + shoes): 1 hour 10€ ,extra hours 7€/hour; 1 day 26€
Snow shoes rental: 1 day 12€; 2 days 17€; 3 days 24€
