5. Summary / objectives

 

The main objective of the project is to create synergy for virtual networking and strengthening cooperation in the area of Food Quality and Safety with partners from the new Member States contributing to the creation of the European Research Area (ERA) in the Central Europe.

 

Through a series of specialized activities the project will help to establish new links and to start cooperation between SMEs and research institutions in the new Member States and old Member States.
A number of profiled workshops will be organised in order to increase awareness and to improve the skills necessary to successfully participate in FP6.

 

The project CEAF will contribute to enhance a lack of funds in the Central European Countries in horticulture and floriculture sector and to implement a set of activities aiming at favouring the participation of research organisation from the new Member States in the 6th Framework Programme.
